Join worker cooperative theater artists and game creators Obvious Agency in celebrating the launch of Space Opera, radical combination of tabletop roleplaying games, democratic organizing practice, and theatrical spectacle. Space Opera invites players to practice collective imagination, collaborative world building, and high-stakes decision making in a co-created future.

The fate of the universe hangs in the balance! Planets revolt, wonders appear, governments crumble, and you roll the dice. Space Opera is a massive theatrical role-playing game where players join forces to prevent an oncoming cataclysm. Over multiple sessions, audiences decide the course of the story while actors, designers, and gamemasters bring it to life around them. Space Opera invites us to believe that we can save a world in crisis.
Okay, those are all words, but what is this Space Opera thing like and do I want to buy tickets to it?
Imagine up to three days of this - (video from our last major playtest) but without even more lights, sound, costumes, drama, twists and turns, cheers of triumph and groans of defeat, spectacular performances, epic story, food, company, and hope. There's nothing quite like it. We're SO excited.
Accessibility:
-Attendees will mask except when eating and drinking. Obvious Agency will provide masks.
